Webster
Name: Destiny
Age: Five years old
Sex: Male
Color: Tri-Colored
Location: Southern California
On the morning of the rescue, Webster was a little overwhelmed with all the dogs and people in the yard and found a little shady spot out of the traffic to watch and wait, no doubt wondering what this new life would be like.
Still skittish, Webster did the same thing at his new foster home. Even though he happily greeted his new beagle foster siblings and loved his new big yard, Webster found himself a spot tucked way inside a bush and wouldn’t come out for several hours, even at night. His foster mom brought him food and water to his little cubby, and, eventually, Webster decided to come out and join the world.
Webster’s foster mom shared a note of progress: “I went out for a short errand and when I returned, Webster came out of the bedroom and greeted me like all the other dogs do.”
He’s now joining the family in the living room and hasn’t headed back to his spot in the bush since that first day. Webster is pretty good on leash and getting better, and is good about “doing his business” outside. He is now greeting visitors when they come in and it doesn’t take much before he lets them touch him.
Webster is a sweet boy, so easy to love. We know he is going to be a perfect fit for someone!
Webster was rescued, along with 19 other beagles, from an animal testing laboratory.
Until now, he’s known only a cage and the inside of a laboratory as his whole world.
Things are about to get so much better for Webster!
