Frankie is a good eater and is starting to get a little weight on his skinny little self.

He is working hard on learning to potty outside and is getting the hang of it!

Frankie still is startled by certain noises but he’s starting to learn that the noises just happen and everything is okay and that’s helping him get better about being scared.

He did his first zoomie and there will be many more to come!!

He loves going for walks on his leash with his furry foster siblings and he’s a very well-behaved boy on leash, too.

More than anything, Frankie loves to feel loved. He will stretch his paws up to you and ask for ear scritches and kisses and hugs.

Frankie is one of 4,000 beagles rescued from Envigo, the mass breeding facility that shut down following an investigation, having received multiple violations for animal welfare, including inadequate veterinary care and insufficient food.  Envigo breeds beagles to sell to testing laboratories; if not for the investigation and legal proceedings, Frankie would have been sold to a laboratory for research.

Frankie traveled from Virginia with hundreds of his fellow Envigo-mates to come to California to find his forever home.
