Huckleberry lives with a very big furry foster sibling, Bernie, a Bernese Mountain dog, and a small human sibling, too!

The first night, Huckleberry had night terrors and was very frightened of everything and everyone but by his second night, he slept through the night and was starting to enjoy being pet.

Huckleberry is playful and goofy and is changing every day, gaining confidence slowly and learning to trust the humans who only want to show him love and kindness.

We traveled far to bring home Huckleberry, along with six other laboratory research beagles, and the trip was well worth it. 

These seven beagles are just starting to settle into foster homes and are still quite fearful and skittish.

We learned right away that they are all sweet and playful with each other and, of course, they all love food!
