Max is settling into his foster home with his two foster siblings, C2C alumni Ginny and Katie. These two girls are sweet and gentle friends, helping Max to learn what it's like to finally live outside of a facility.

Max loves to curl up on the couch and nap, and also enjoys laying out in the sunshine.

Everything is still very new to Max, and he startles at sounds and sudden movements, and freezes when scared. He is not yet walking on leash but is getting the hang of housetraining.

A typical beagle, Max is a good eater! He is great with other dogs and cats, too!

Max was born at Marshall BioResources in New York, bred to be sold to a laboratory for research experiments.

At almost eight years old, Max was finally released from a laboratory and we took him into our Cage to Couch family in the last week of July, 2026.
